Obtain your children’s school
records. |

Develop your plan for packing
room by room. |
|
Place legal, medical records
and valuables in a safe place. |

Notify the post
office and others of your change of address:
- Friends and family members
- Banks and other financial institutions
- Insurance companies for your life, health,
fire, and auto policies
- Credit card companies
- Magazine and newspaper subscriptions
- Doctors, dentists, and other service providers
- Book and music clubs

weeks before moving: |
|
Inform gas, electric,
water, phone, Internet, and cable service providers
to stop service and start service in your new home.
Make sure you receive any refunds/deposits owed
to you. |
|
Confirm your Cone
Team truck or moving company reservation. |
|
If using a moving
company, confirm payment details. |
|
Arrange to transfer
your bank accounts if relocating to the Kansas City
area. |
|
Ask your doctor and
dentist for referrals in your new area. |
|
Transfer needed prescriptions,
eyeglasses, x-rays, etc. |
The day before moving: |
|
Set aside moving
materials such as tape, scissors, and rope. |
|
Pick up Cone Team
moving truck. |
|
Plan for transporting
pets including bedding, water, food, and medications. |
On moving day: |
|
Carry valuables and
documents with you or send using registered mail. |
|
Leave all keys with
new owner or your Cone Team agent. |
|
Leave garage door
remote controls inside the house. |
